I really didnt try it but once.. i always run 5th anyways lol.. but ill let ya know in a day or 2 it prob does. And it doesnt jerk bad you just feel the cam profile alot more at that speed.... would probably greatly benfit from a 3.91 gear swap.

Love it lol.. doesnt like cruisin below 2k rpm is a lil jittery but not bad.. still havent ran 6th much but never did.. mid to top rpm power is great and pulls hard..had probably a dozen compliments about the sound in 2 days.. is a great joy to drive. I love it lol... next mod prob be 3.91 gears when i can afford it..... and tires

Awesome, glad to hear it. Mine went in the shop today and will be done hopefully by Thursday. I will be probably doing the exact same thing and doing 3.91 gears. Who knows, maybe even a FAST or MSD intake manifold to break that 500rwhp mark

I helped a friend put one on his LS7 Vette and it made great gains. I just did some research and i am not sure if they make it for the LS3 though, i wonder why

They do not make it for the ls3, It was a disappointment the Airforce could not come through and be viable gaining more than stock and make it worth the money. Vararam claimed it would make a nice curved midram and bailed on it after leading us on for years and they made the friggin COPOs intakes....that Hurt....

Some interest in the sheetmetal highrams now as it seems some will clear the firewall unlike the holleys intitial ones where guys actually altered the firewall and the wiper motors arms to make the high ram work. SO basically its been Fast or stock altered if you can a little like the "ROD MOD", and Fast is best for Higher Mods and Cubes in terms of it making any gains worth it, and long tunnel rams make higher numbers usually but also lower numbers down low and driving around with tunnel rams I can tell you its less vacuum harder on brakes a little , more weak down low more scream up high....so its the quandary we are in. N/A and wishing they had made the Phenolic VRX Intake that never got made into production from the great long ever lasting Vararam intake thread ...its got to still be alive and will be refreshed here some time, and no I am not talking about the air box CAI they made called the VRX....LOL Anyway a little history. Murr.....

What is this rod mod everyone keeps talkin bout.. heard about it but never done the research lol... if your thay determined to hit 500.. heck spray it lol and make 600 or more for less than the cost of the intake haha.. id love to spray mine but hate to mess up a car that has 15k miles but itl eventually happen anyways because youll always want more.. right?
