I have the Kooks 2 Inch primary headers and they do not contact there on my L99, at all. I don't have many suggestions past what was shared, but compared to what I have, I would agree something is off.

Disconnect the connection pipe to header that's touching and see if it moves back out from the frame rail. It could be that screwy exhaust pushing it out that you say was welded up kind of whack.

Thanks for the reply. The motor mounts look to be ok. I don't see any issue with them just looking at them. I do have a tune by Dynosteve. I loosened all of the clamps today and even pushed against the header to try and move it off the frame and it didn't move. I have to push over on it pretty hard just to get that small piece of exhaust wrap in there to see if it stopped the vibration. I also went back out there to look and it seems to be against the heat shield at firewall also. They just aren't fitting right for some reason.

I hace 1 7/8 catless kooks. Clearance was perfect. But i did have to readjust them for the tunnel brace. It was letting the exhaust touch on revs and some idle. May check that. But shouldnt be touching the frame at all. Couldve been a bad cast. Havent heard of one from kooks, but everyone makes mistakes.

I have 2inch stainless work primary headers and no contact anywhere. Little close to the steering shaft but doesn't touch.

Curious too, so I just checked mine. Also Kooks 1 7/8's. I have at least 1 to 1"-1 1/2" clearance on both sides from the frame rail. You have an issue with either the headers or the geometry of the frame rails.

I checked my 1 7/8" Kooks, at the tightest spot I can slide my fingers between the header tube and fame, approximately 3/4".

I have sent Kooks a message and tried to call a few times. I haven't gotten in touch with anyone yet. I am going to try them again in the morning when I get off work. I just hope they will help me out because that would be a huge loss if they won't replace them.

I know it's been a little while since the last post, but I thought I would update the thread. I got in touch with Kooks and sent my headers back to them. The were surprised to see the pictures as many people have been. It doesn't seem that anything like this happens much with Kooks headers. It turns out the header had gotten welded out of line. Kooks was fantastic to work with. They kept me updated constantly and didn't give me any trouble with sending the headers back. They sent me a new passenger side header that fit like a glove. Thanks for all the help guys.

And reasons like this is why I bought from a company like this. Yes they may be "just headers" but occasionally stuff goes wrong and it's nice to know that the company will be around and stand behind their product.

Did they make you pay shipping it back like the warranty states. What about labor? I have an issue with my drivers side 2" header. Have already done everything you tried. Will have to call them Monday just wondering what I have to look forward to.
