This was my future sales person told me:

Good Afternoon Mr. Garcia,

Thank you for the inquiry on the Camaro. We have limited information at this time, but this is what I can offer:

1) The SS model will be available in a coupe and conmvertible.
2) Coupes will begin arriving in spring of 2009, the convertibles in the fall.
3) Saleen will be building the SS.
4) 500+hp supercharged V-8 will be in the SS.
5) 6 speed manual or 6 speed automatic will be available.
6) IRS suspension will be standard on ther Camaro.
7) We do not at this writing have the options or pricing on the car. We expect the car to be priced compairable to the Mustang.
8) The SS will probably be the last introduced of 3 Camaro models, RS, Z-28 and SS.
9) We have a seperate wait list for the coupe and the convertible.
10) A $1,000.00 fully refundable deposit will hold your place on the list.
11) You will be able to order your car, you will NOT be assigned a car.

Either way I don't care. I'm getting and SS and I'm planning on Paying for $40k for it.

And not that I REALLY mind who builds the SS engine. But what's s wrong with Saleen? They stopped building Mustangs. They are breaking away from that and just making their own cars and engines.

People are bitter about what Steve Saleen said about GM and the camaro before he left the company. Check out the many saleen threads that people have created on these forums about it.
