2 Camaros from Different Parts of the Country Flock Together in the Parking Lot(pics)

Was this a fellow Camaro5 member? Very cool to see the cars together. Especially considering that the classic yellow SS looks like it's about 1,700 miles from home! It was in the Safeway parking lot in Gallup, NM on June 12th. Check out some pics

I just hope if you get a door ding after a masterful parking job like that you don't come on here and complain. Nice pics though.

It's got a semper fi plate on the front. Obviously this person is a Marine stationed in NM. Could be stationed at a joint command, as I'm not aware of any marine bases in NM. Closest one I can think of is Marine Corp Air Station Yuma.

they could be retired or have a relative in the marines. there are two retired marines that go to my church and they both have license plates and stickers on their cars.

Yeah retired is possible... the NC plate shows that he was at one point stationed in NC, most likely at Camp Lejeune... which is where he would have registered the car he bought... and as often as career marines move... its often easier to just leave your car registered to one state, rather than switch it.

Now that I think of it...I had to take my car in to a tire shop a few weeks ago to get a nail out of my tire and the guy who worked there was asking me about my car and said he had a 67-69' SS (can't remember exactly what year he said) here in town and it might be his and just never re-registered it in New Mexico. I work close in the same area as that tire shop maybe I'll go ask him one of these days.
