Got my dashboard emblem fixed. It is definitely a lot nicer than the old one. The emblem is embedded into the dash. The one thing that irks me a bit is that I checked my mileage when I dropped the car off (341) and when I picked up my car it had (345). I don't know if I'm too happy about that.
I always download my mileage to onstar / iphone when i drop it off and check it when i pick it up. If there ever was an unacceptable difference I would take the details to whatever level needed to absolutely ensure it never happened again, the event was logged, and potentially that some compensation was made. I think I would inform them that I charge $1000 a mile to drive my car with me in it, $5000 alone, and $10,000 without permission. Will that be cash or charge?

After 40 years? They probably would have come off and they will be in the glove box- if they were kept.

Regards.

I am sorry for your dissatisfaction you are experiencing with your dealership. I have documented this into our database where many departments of GM can access the information.

Thanks for the info, gonna order mine now. I hate the way the stickers corner grabs the micro fiber rags i always have to pull strings out. Two of my corners are lifted. Gotta love this forum for all the great stuff you learn.

But I am happy some of you are finding the post helpful and getting the replacement for free (less the shitload difference 40 years from now!)

Ditto! People like you make trying to share positive information with others really suck. Go buy a Mustang.
