But that time is with the expensive Z07 package and ultra sticky pilot cup tires, tires so sticky that they only last 2-5k miles. The fact that the ZL1 bested the original Z06 time (with comparable, less exotic tires) is almost unbelievable and nothing to dismiss easily. Nobody reasonable saw this coming. Bananas.

Awesome time for the Camaro, but guys check the list closely, the ZR1 is 9th and the Z06 is 11th. The GTR is 14th, nonetheless this is a truly amazing time for a Camaro!

Can't wait for 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.

It looks like this ZL1 has the cage and racaro's in it as well. It might not be an official time I thought it had to be a production version for it to be official "RING" time. I could be wrong.

It will be quit interesting to see what comes of those cars' times. All this hype over this and that - let's see some numbers and quite messing about!!!

To think this would be on those F1:G2s, and not even a tire like the PS2s or even Sport Cup tires is still amazing to me. I gotta' get another look at that list and see what other cars costing more are running. I think I speculated like high-40s, not near bottom 40s. WOW

Correction - the photo posted is not of the ZL1 which ran the Nurburgring in this time. It's just a prototype on display during Mark Reuss' speech at the Motor Press Guild right now.

You also have to remember that the original Z06 time was almost 7 years ago. There is alot more technology on this ZL1 than the old Z06 that helps it achieve numbers that are close to the Vette. None the less, this is a flat out unbelievable time!! Now I await the 1/4 mile and 0-60 numbers
