Need help with a problem with Dash Lighting - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

The blue strip of light (above the vents & radio) that goes across the dashboard from just to the right of driver side to just before the passenger door is not lit anymore. However, the same blue strip of light that continues on both doors from that strip is still lit. Any ideas on why it went out and how to fix it?

Lydon, PM my friend "thebrainhart". He is good with stuff like that. Tell him I sent ya. I only have the 1SS model so I don't have the dash lighting. Wish I could help. How ya been anyway?

Unless you have done the mod to add the lighting in the area you are referring to, it was never illuminated from the beginning. There is not a light tube behind that panel, only a light tube in each door where u see the blue light. There is a mod in the DIY section that offers the info on how to go about adding a tube and light to the area in the dash if you would like that...

Palestine is over here in East Texas, east of I-45 bout 30 miles, bout halfway in betweein Dallas and Houston

The blue strip across the dash that you speak of was never lit. It never made it to production. You are not alone, none of the new Camaros have it.

Thanks everyone for your responses - but I am 99% sure it was lit up until last week and b/c my kids commented on it the first time they saw it too. Please don't tell me I'm losing my mind . . . ugh!

Snow here is depressing. Don't want to take Lightning out in it. They put too much salt on the roads. Otherwise all is well.
