Hey Guys,

This has been bugging me for a while and I can't seem to find any fix for it. Is this possibly just normal? I have such delayed throttle response that when I'm driving, I can slam the pedal down halfway or full then let go to rev the engine up but still not accelerate. I just took a video of it tonight and uploaded it: http://youtu.be/M_1G5bfXbdo It takes at least a second of holding the pedal down for the car to move, as you'll see in the final acceleration.

Is this normal for us? Is there an issue at hand here?

2012 w/ Rotofab CAI and ported throttle body.

Electronics control throttle response these days, not cables and springs. Nothing in your video appeared abnormal.

I mean I'm hoping this is totally normal, but if its a delay due to electronics, wouldn't there be a delay for the engine revving too? As in, I'd press the pedal, then nothing would happen for a second, THEN the RPMs would increase? As opposed to my case where RPM's increase instantly with the pedal, but there's no actual acceleration happening from the vehicle?

Is this a manual transmission car? If so, then your clutch may be slipping.

Check fluid level?

My 2010 did that when they re-flashed my ECU.
Had to do a fuse pull (yes fuse pull) and install a bottle of dry gas
in the tank and whamo! back to life.

Not sure which did it, and you do have a ported throttle body, but its a good start.
