Spool
What's up guys I have a 2010 camaro with a lsx376 a f1r procharger the car makes 970 to the tires at 20 psi my issue is I have a 9in conversion from the driveshaft shop and but I keep on having issues with it I just snapped the pinion gear and ****ed up the diff I'm not that mechanical but I was thinking about putting a spool in can you guys give me any info on the pros and cons of a spool?

What differential is in there now? I would call the driveshaft shop and see what they recommend.

Pros: Great for the quarter mile and going straight.
Cons: Turns... not so much. Spools are not street friendly, especially if regularly street driven. I'm not really sure how a spool would help your situation. Street car? Race car? .

We have a spool in our '69. In ours you still have a ring and pinion, just no clutches, so the rear end is locked at all times. Not meant for the street at all. We have 2 chipped teeth on our pinion gear (from street driving I assume) and it is hell to push around corners, especially with the slicks on. If you are only going to drag race it should be fine but you are still could have ring / pinion gear issues. Hope this has helped.
