V6 auto owners i have a question.

There is this small annoyance i have and i hope its not a normal thing that everyone is experiencing. when im driving along about 45 to 50 mph it seems that the tranny shifts into 6th and it settles to a lil bit above the 1000rpm mark and when i lightly press the gas to maintain 45 mph or even 40 mph i get a pretty decent amount of vibration i dunno if the engine is lugging or somthing binding but if i am goin about 50 mph it doesnt do it cause im guessing higher rpm. It just seems the autos are a bit over agressive to find a lower gear for gas mileage purpose i dont wanna have to use manual mode just so i cant keep it at a certain speed. Any help and comments are welcome.

thanks for trying though maybe it is just my car i might take it to the dealer sat. to see if they can do anything also need to get my hood lined up with the top of the front bumper its lower than the other side of the hood as well. I kinda wish i had a digital rpm display so i can tell everyone the exact rpm as the tac in our cars doesnt really have much numbering between 1000rpm and 1500rpm. I might try and get a video this weekend as it will be nice saturday

Ok i think i know what the problem is now. I did take it to the dealer but they couldnt replicate it after driving 10 miles fine by me cause they told they did drive it that much. But before i was driving to the dealer i noticed it didnt do it as much as when i first got the car and the first week of driving. It might have been bad gas or just cheap gas cause i filled it up with 89 after the first week prolly still had about 4 gallons of whatever the dealer put it. And this time i put in 93 and it seems to have solved the issue at 45 mph vibration. Im not sayin i should only run 93 just saying they prolly went to a cheape gas station to fill the car up like a wawa or sheets or whatever discount gas place. I fill up at Sunoco or shell or bp top teir only. The service was fine was in and out in about 30 mins shorter time that exspected the only quibble i had was whoever drove the car moved the seat and had left like white powder on the door panel and gear knob.
