Trying to read the bottom timeslip at the end of the video, looks like 1.6 something 60 foot. Maybe someone with better eyes could figure it out.

Yes, it also appears that some could benefit from a refresher course in logic. Because a car was filmed making some runs with Drag Radials doesn't mean that the same car did not run in the 11's with the stock Goodyear tires, as was clearly stated: "as engineers recently turned an 11.93-second/116-mph quarter-mile elapsed time run in a showroom-stock Camaro ZL1 ..."

Thanks, Sling' and 'Bear for making it plain. It clearly says in the press release the eek into the 11s was on STOCK tires. While this isn't the first stock ZL1 scratching the 11s, it's cool to also see GM follow-up with DR/slick-testing. Calling that 9.9-inch diff' "Gravedigger" isn't exaggerating, lol.
Stop the nonsense - it's right there. If you refuse to accept it - move on. No - maybe it's not a great time, to us enthusiasts, but I believe it's enough to finally quiet some of the trolls down. For the rest - we'll just have to deal with them as the situation arises... Great job GM!!! Thanks for giving, those of us who have wanted one, a great foundation that won't require most of the powertrain behind the motor to be replaced when we start adding little things here-and-there to ZL1s to make them ours I think it shows a lot of confidence in what you guys have released to us, and it's nice to see some racers and more enthusiasts in the project to make sure it's tough to break ZL1 on the strip and the track

I like what I see there! This is a car for the people. Common people are trapping 112-117 miles per hour in the ZL1 stock and GM to not disappoint does it too. 117mph in the quarter mile is beast. And I think it has much more potential. I mean, the ZL1 bested the Z06 at the RING and Z06 are trapping what? 125+mph??
Why the ZL1 arent besting the trapped speed of a car it beat at a Road Course w/ long straight segments? Because it can hook. If you hook you'll get lower MPHs but a faster time.

Gordon said "You can take it to the drag strip and leave stock tires on it". At the end Tony really opened the can of worms and said "basically no modification". I love the ZL1, would love for it to be faster COMPLETELY stock. I hate to play devil's advocate but the video only leaves room for question.

I like when Tony Roma at the end of the video made a mistake and said that the ZL1 would ran 12 secs on the 1/4 mile all day long. The paper clearly states 11's!

If a stock ZL1 were to run in the 9's, I doubt that it would "shut up the mustang fanboys."
