Wish my dealer had a friggen clue. Intermittent ipod connectivity issues (wont recognize the ipod). Had the car in for service couple of months ago. Told them about the issue and asked them to check to ensure I had the most recent HW & SW versions. They said I did. Problems continued. Checked versions myself and they were CB & CC!

Brought the car back in for service last week (multiple issues). Told them about the PDIM HW & SW update which should fix my problem. Service writer says, "The usb is controlled through the BCM, not the PDIM". I disagree with him and tell him we need to order the new hardware module before I drop the car off. He refuses. Drop the car off and explain to him that this is a known issue, no reason to wait days to order the new HW...let's save some time here. Nope. Says his tech has access to everything I have been reading about and more (in the most condescending manner possible). Needs his tech to diagnose. I say, "OK, call me back and tell me when you learn that you need to order part #2279721". Calls me the next day. They need to order the new HW module. It's on backorder. No idea when it will arrive.

My two largest local dealers are utterly WORTHLESS!!!

AUS10BMX, I think DB/DD levels are the current. That means there are newer versions of HW and SW.

VaderSS, mine to. Asked mine how much for a oil/filter change and was told 68+tax. About 2 weeks later and after getting home, noticed they charged 75.38+tax. I think I will try a dealer about 22 miles down the road for anything else I need.

Mine goes in to Harnish/Chevrolet of Parkland on Monday for the update, wish me luck.

At least I'll have an oil change while I'm there! These guys seem to do a pretty good job so I'll be surprised if the update isn't done.

wrong part again. At least this time they ordered the part number we know is right. Now my issue is that I plugged my zune into a camaro with DB DB. It still had the same issues, so will DB DD majically fix the problem. Or is all this for naught.

So I read the last coulpe pages of this thread because I want to upgrade my PDIM. I see everyone says the latest versions part number is 22797218. I went to the TIS website and put in my vin and the lastest part number for mine is showing 25878252. Does this mean there is an even newer version out now or is just some software upgrades to the current version?

I'm looking now to see if the second part number you found is a good part number for a PDIM module. Hopefully I can have something back for you guys before the end of the day. Sorry to hear about your experience spectre.

In prep for my Monday appt I checked my versions:

HW: DB
SW: DB

Clearly need an update, though as I read it, this is the latest hardware so that's something. Anyone besides Dznyfn having the pairing issue after update? Hope not...though I think my next phone is the Samsung Galaxy S II of some flavor or another rather then the iPhone 5.

Oh yeah....what's a TIS website? Sounds like a neat thing for me to bookmark.

I am at hardware DB and software DB. The only bothersome issue I am having it that about half the time when I start the car it doesn't resume XM but automatically moves to the Ipod and plays that. I'm thinking that updating the software to DD might fix it but I've gone to two dealers who say that my software is up to date. They say that their equipment doesn't see or understand "DB" and "DD" they see only part numbers. Is there a GM part number for the DD software that I can give to my dealer so I can get this update applied? Thanks.
