Haha I in no way am considering you "old" I just put it at 30 because I figure that's the age you start being a little more conservative and getting into higher profile jobs. I really don't consider anything under 65 old and even then the 65+ group on here are still driving camaros so there still young in my book lol
And ur profile picture literally makes me want to trade in for a Sw vert

I'm 34 and just got my Piano black Forgestar F-14's. I was skeptical at first, but now that they are on my Rally Yellow SS, I love them. I am getting a yellow pinstripe on them soon as well.

i am old school and not a fan of black wheels.the chrome or polished wheels gives your car the bling i love.
but you know, that is why there is so many wheel mfg.,if everyone had my taste, they would only have to make a couple of different styles.

I speak with many wheel customers. Black wheels aren't necessarily an age related thing, it is more of a racing inspired or high tech thing. Many racecars out there run black wheels. Chrome is actually becoming less popular, it seems. Many of the old school hotrodders won't have anything but chrome wheels, and these are the guys who tend to dislike black wheels.

However, send your Dad this photo and tell him he is wrong. The first cars had black wheels too.

I personally didn't like black wheels on my own vehicles but I liked seeing them on certain other cars. Since then and seeing them on the camaro I fell in love...it looks so much more race inspired and also gives it a sinister look. I personally hate chrome...I've had them on three of my last vehicles. Mostly because I live on an island and there is always salt in the air and eventually starts to destroy the wheels. If I had to go the chrome look again...it will be polished.

Depends on what the vehicle is, paint color, etc. I personally don't really like black wheels, but guess what color the wheels I'm going to get (eventually) are? Black. They'll be SV-25s with a chrome lip and black face. Because seeing what Hennessey did with them on a SW/IOM car, I think it looked badass. Unless the car/truck you're putting black wheels on fit it, I think it just looks bland. Most applications tend to be in better taste for chrome wheels or a polished/alloy finish. For example my old truck, I had chrome wheels on it. Why? Well, just look at it and imagine black wheels. It would have looked absolutely horrid lol.

you can make any car look awesome with black wheels. you definitely need other shades of black on the car? Im no talking about fixing up a corolla or something like that, but any other big body type of vehicle can definitely be tastefully done WITH the right amount of creativity and balance.

IMO, it depends on the paint and the overall look of the car.

Personally, black on black/murdered is way over done. For my IOM, I'm going to do black wheels because they accent my stripes.

My dad actually wants to get my rims powder coated black.

I'm actually the one that like's the Brushed or polished wheels.

Not really a chrome fan tho.

Also it depends on what car and what color is the car.
