Question College students!!

Hey guys i just want to get some advice and help from other camaro owners. I am soon going to be a incoming freshmen at a divison 1 college. I have talked to other people and they say im retarded if i bring my baby over there. What do u think i should do im in a dorm so im in one huge parking lot.

UPDATE
I have been at college for almost a semester and im actually in my college dorm right now and i can see my baby in the parking lot from my tenth floor. I dont regret taking it at all my parents bought me an amazing car i feel life is too short to have it sit at home.. I am known as the black camaro guy the students are friendly and theirs even another camaro that parks by me. I don't drive it to parties, show it off, or brag about it and i have yet to have one problem with the car.

UPDATE
With a week left of school it finally happened. I came out to my car Sunday afternoon to find my chrome gas cap ripped off of my car.

Hell no.

There's a reason my dad lets me drive his truck up to college. He doesn't want to see my Envoy scratched to hell and back.

If you've got the money for a beater, buy one. If one of your parents is willing to let you take one of their cars up, take it.

Yes having something nice in a situation where almost nobody does, plus young is a recipe for disaster. Someone will see fit eventually to vandalize and trash your car.

I think a bigger issue is that a lot of college kids just don't care about other people's property.

do not bring your camaro to college, or any college sporting events (like tailgating). While i wa in college, not with my camaro, Ive had random acts of damage. Ive seen random acts of damage to cars. You will be playing with fire. Id say 90 % of actions to vandilized cars are alcohol related, while 10% is actually jealousy.

You have been warned.

The upcoming 4 years may be the best of your life. Share them with your Camaro! Being mobile in college has a lot of advantages! Actually finding a parking spot may be your biggest challenge.

NO. Don't take your car to college you will regret it. It will have scratch marks and door dings by the end of the semester because most college students are not gonna care about someone else's nice car. I left mine at home with a car cover on while living on campus.

It doesn't matter where you park, people will still be morons.

I always park next to a curb, with the wheels almost touching the curb just so I minimize my chances of some idiot giving me a door ding.

Trust me OP, you'll regret it if you bring your Camaro to college.

I'm taking my baby to college. I love her enough to take her with me everywhere to enjoy the experience to the fullest. This is my daily driver and my only driver. Car wont be in brand new condition forever, but the memories of having the car at college, specially freshman year will stay with you forever

Don't forget about all the vandalism threads out there lately related to apartment complexes. A dorm isn't a far shot from that demographic.

Untill you have a beer can/bottle chucked at it, then you might think different.
