Exactly, why would you ship a car to anywhere to have a SC put in? You know if you by a TVS2300 through SLP any GM dealer can install it.

Yeah, but how will the dealer dyno tune it? Will they turn off AFM?

The dealer will just load the supplied tune that comes pre-installed on the handheld tuner that SLP provides with their kit, just as if you bought the kit and installed it yourself in your garage. It won't be a dyno tune, and they won't turn off AFM.

Yeah, that's the problem. I don't want a canned tune, especially with all my other mods....and I definitely cannot live with AFM. I doubt my dealer has done a lot of S/C installs. I'd rather use a shop that has done this many times before.

Obviously there are a lot of choices out there.. I went with livernois because I read great reviews about them, and when I called and spoke to Andy for the first time, I was impressed with his customer relation skills... I hate calling someone, then I feel like I was wasting their time.... I never felt that way with Andy.

Either way, anyone your chose from here, you can't go wrong with. I just prefer livernois due to the fact I'm already a customer and I know I can expect everything done right...

Looks like I am going with Livernois, too Even with shipping the vehicle, they offered a very competitive price, and Andy has been very helpful so far. Can't wait to get this baby on there

P.S. I plan on keeping my CAI Inc intake. I will just have to switch to the tube and elbow they make specially for S/C'd cars. Do you think that's a good choice? Their intake has been top notch so far, so I see no reason to switch.

You made a great choice. You won't be disappointed with the work or service.

Absolutely keep the cai cai. Ted @ JRE dynoed with and without and I want to say it was a 40rwhp difference.

Sweet. That settles it. I've always loved my CAI Inc

I'm excited now! Now the wait begins

The wait really is the hardest part. Here's my thread and full review from when I sent the car up there the first time for headers, cam etc. It really speaks to their incredible service.

I've got another thread here somewhere for my whipple experience.

Congrats!
