Sealant cure times
bought some DP poly sealant and from what I understand it recommends a 12+ hour cure time, problem is I don't have a garage to keep the elements off it so it can cure, what I thought I would do is let it cure for five hours or so out side on a dry sunny day. so I guess my question is; can I get good results from 5 hours?

You'll be absolutely fine. Where curing really comes into play is in subsequent coats or product applications.
So apply your sealant, let it haze, buff off. Then leave it alone for 12 hours. After that you can apply another coat or wax. Of course being sure to get all the dust off the car first via a waterless wash or proper wash before you go rubbing any more product onto the paint.

Adds a lot of difficulty when you're trying to teach people and they've heard three meanings for one word and don't know which way is up on what should be a very simply thing. Anyway, sorry for the rant

We should start a Adams support group. The first step is admitting you are powerless and your life is unmanageable due to your Adams issues

That was more of a joke from me, but I will say that I did use their Quick Sealant when I posted that. It is really good stuff I will admit.

Well the new spray Adams quick sealant was just used at a demo detail clinic I attended today. Stuff works really well and has a cure time of 30 minutes and then you can apply wax if you like.

How do you know a sealant works well if you just saw it today?

well I meant the application, as far as how long it lasts, I'm going by what the auto detailer has experienced over time using his own cars. I would have bought some to test but that's one of the items that he's out of and so is Adam's atm.
