vinyl wrap the whole car..
So its about to hit a year that I have owned my black SS and all I can say is that it is a pain in the neck to maintain. The winter makes it nearly impossible for me to wash/polish my car as much as i usually do in the summer.
I now plan on vinyl wrapping my car and was thinking about doing matte black (not positive which color yet). My question is for anyone who has vinyl wrapped their entire car, how is it holding up in cold temperature and daily driving? Its going to cost me $3,000 to wrap so i just want to make sure its definitely worth it. Please feel free to offer me any advice |

I don't have any experience with wrapping a car but you should also consider plasti-dip. You can have someone professionally do it for a fraction of that cost for a wrap. We did it on my friends wife's scion and it came out amazing.

Biggest mistake I ever made. It is a PITA to take it off. Go with the wrap, only downside is once you get a bad spot it will stick out like a sore thumb! |

Yellowrs what you needed is a microfiber towel when taking it off. It makes removing it much easier. I dunno I do a lot of my own work and with practice they come out looking good. Doing a whole vehicle can be daunting but like I said it's much cheaper and for the price of a wrap you can have your car Plasti dipped 5 or 6 different times.

Well it must be cause it's a mustang. Even Plasti dip doesn't like mustangs. No problem, good luck with the wrap if you get it

I saw an orange wrapped Camaro and it looks incredible. Turns heads big time! The one I saw was all orange, but this gives you an idea.

I had my truck wrapped this fall and I like the look, it is matte black. It stays parked outside, and everything seems ok right now though it relatively new. I am using Meguiars spray wax to maintain the finish. I wash it as I would my Camaro, dry it and then use the spray wax, you can also use the Meguiars quick detail for touchups. Make sure you get it professionally done as the Camaro has so many curves. post the pics after you get her done.

So far gasoline seems to be the only good choice. I tried a bunch of orange cleaners with no luck :( |

Been debating wrapping mine myself. If done right, it will hold up no problem.
