Who put on their own GM stripes?

I have worked with vinyl before but not the GM ones. Anyone do their own stripes? They cost me nearly $300 so any feedback on what not to do would be appreciated....thanks

I did my own stripes, but they weren't the GM ones. I installed hockey sticks from Rider Graphix. Are you asking about the rally stripes? My best advice is to make sure that the car and the stripes are VERY wet so that they'll slide around until perfect, then be careful as you squeegee out the solution and any air bubbles. Typically, I find that if you take your time, you should be fine. I know my hockey sticks took about an hour and a half to install. The rally stripes may be easier (I don't really know), but I'd still devote a good chunk of time to making sure they're right.

The stripes are BIG so if you can get a helper to help when you peel them off and place them, you'll be ahead of the game.

Installed last night....easy job if you take your time. Took about 1-1/2 hours to complete from start to cleanup.

Did you have to do any cutting for the door, mirror, and where the the fender meets the front clip? Or did your kit already come precut? I've put the side gills on with no trouble, just don't know about a big job. lol
