Somewhere in this thread...somewhere...was my permission from Mr. Rick Hendrick through Jim Perkins for ZEE #1...or was that Jimi Hendrix channeled through Marlin Perkins?

...and my VISA number is on file for the deposit...honest!

If this is gonna happen, it'll be announced by the time of the NYIAS, April/'13...

EDIT - Page 16, post #389.

To go from the 1LE to the as discussed Z28 how much "work" is it for GM compared to designing the ZL1 from the SS?

What's left to change? Upgrade to ZL1 brakes, LS7 under the hood, different wheels or keep ZL1s?, and what else?

A slightly restyled front nose and GFX, option for rear seat delete.

I can see the new nose but unless the GFX improve aero, I would leave it off.

Rear seat delete won't happen. Apparently it's too expensive for GM to do but not Ford.

I say the 1LE styling is fine, they would have already used the LS7 if it was done in the corvette...since its done in the next MY I see the Z on its way..I am guessing I outperforms the ZL1 and GM won't want that to happen since people spend 58k for that car..maybe ZL1 gets the LS9 too

The Z06/Z07 is about as fast around a track as the ZR1 do I don't think that a LS7 Z/28 out running the ZL1 would be a problem. The ZL1 would most likely still be faster in the 1/4 mile.
