For me it's not the Camaro addiction, it's the addiction to having an LS motor and always being able to tell those silly truck owners that think they're fast, "my LITTLE car has a bigger engine than your BIG truck."

If they try to say that I'll get stuck in the mud or something, I just let them know that it's fine because I could just get a ride back to my house and pick up the 2012 2500 Z71 to get me out of a sticky situation.

Noted for future use lol. "Honey, my engine isn't getting enough air and is causing trouble. If I get a blower (chuckle chuckle) this is make it so I don't need to buy a new engine". She's pretty non-automobile educated so I'm sure I can make this work.

The $ only affects your ability to cater to the addiction. Shortages of it do nothing to cure the addiction itself.

Having a wife who at least understands the automotive addiction . . . priceless. 43 years of direct experience speaking here.

Sure is easier to squeeze in upgrades that way . . . and sometimes the parts kind of do you a favor by breaking all by themselves.

Just need the performace mods over the winter (American Racing Headers and the blower). Still wish I had the Zl1 body though!
Thanks, your car looks great as well. Always been a big fan of Chevy red. My car is at LPE getting the 700HP package. YOu should have seen the look on the wife's face then.

If anything the shortage makes it worse (ask me how I know...)

My wife just started to get it when I took her to a coffee and cars last month, started asking why other cars get more attention - I said because they spent money on mods you can see, she said I needed to fix that so I bought a new hood, more to be purchased next week. Get her on your side

I've had 3 girlfriends in the time I've had my car (about 7 months)
The reason being is because I have a 50/50 policy on money when we go out on dates (I know I'm a jerk, but I have a strict budget I made which is 75% of my weekly income towards my car ) granted I'm only 17, and will probably never get married!

Eventually you will pass on, that usually ends the earthly side of the addiction. If your good, you will get an unlimited budget and a team of engineers to help you. If your bad, you get a Yugo.

Im the one with the addiction. Hubby is totally supportive, my kids think i've lost it! Their biggest groan was when i ordered personalized bank checks with pictures of my camaro on them! "Why didnt you get checks with our pictures on them?"
