Impressions of Pedders lowering springs?
For everyone here that have the Pedders lowering springs what are your overall impressions, good and bad?
What drop did you go with and what noticeable difference do you feel in the cars ride and handling with the lowering springs? Thanks |

I have them. Lowered about an inch. Makes a big effect on the looks. Rides a bit harsher but not too noticeable after a month or two it is softness up.

Formare, I have a v6 also and am on the fence on the springs, will go Hotchkis if I do. My question, and this may help the OP, except he has an ss, is how are they reacting with the v6 shocks as I'm not sure if they are the same as the ss shocks as far as the control they will have over the stiffer lower springs? I have been on a lowered 98 for 11 years and with konis adjusted on soft ride is like stock untill you hit a bump or bad road then the reaction is firm and abrupt, how does the 2010 react to the bad roads we have? And how do springs soften up? Never had that happen before.

I do not think they soften up. I would bet you become accustom to the sportier ride

The difference in handling is amazing. The ride only seems harsh if you hit a really bad bump or pothole. Highly recommended!

I've been on them for about 2mo now. Loved them since the day they went on. The ride is definitely stiffer but like someone else mentioned, it's only when you're on very rough roads. Driving on the intersate is smooth as a babies bottom. IMO the OEM setup was very soft and had little feel for the road. Now the car is better planted yet still rides very well. I've since added the front and rear sways for an AMAZING feel when cornering. The car feels like it knows what it's suppose to do and does it. I look down the hood line and it doesn't change in the corners. Stays flat as a pancake. I didn't measure the drop but it's right where I like it. I let a local C5 member (Captain Mcfunk) ride and drive mine and he ordered his Pfadts that week. I highly recommend the springs and sways combo.

I've installed most of the springs out there including the Pedders springs. They dropped the cars we've done about 1" and the ride is firm but not harsh. Most of the tier 1 companies have the rate dialed into the factory damping, no Honda on drop springs effect!
Please feel free to call, email or PM me anytime with questions. Have a good one and good luck! Kind regards, Jordan Priestley 888.308.6007 |

The feedback and input I get from everyone on this forum is great! Don't know what I would do without C5 member feedback. Thanks |

Look at BMR and MTI products.

Sorry, my bad. For some reason I thought it said Pfadt. Guess I need those glasses sooner than later.
