What would it take...350HP?

I'm probably going to be putting in an order for a 2LT soon, and since a lot of you have modded your cars and some of you dyno'd them. What sort of mods and $ figures are we talking to get it to 350HP? Some reason 350 sounds like a nice number to achieve and I'm wondering if its going to take a lot to get past that number.

Thanks!

With current mods and tune that won't be possible without a turbo or NO2. However, there is at least one person working porting the heads and intake manifold. With those and all the normal bolton mods (LT Headers, CAI, high-flow cats) and a tune you should be there are a little higher. It will be expensive though.

Think it may take ALL the bolt-on, including long tube headers and high flow cats... and then I think you will still come up a bit short...

so intake, long tube headers, high flow cats, favorite exhaust... probably put you just shy of 350 HP...

Wait, don't you have all of that (minus the cats) and you are still quite a ways away from 350hp?

At this point, I think your only real options for hitting 350 with the V6 are the STS Turbo kit or NOS. If you are considering the turbo route, might want to just look at getting a V8 instead due to cost. Until the aftermarket realizes that there are plenty of us wanting speed parts for the V6, their focus will continue to remain on the V8 sales.

Don't think you can hit 350 without going F/I or nitrous.

If you're talking 350bhp, then that's probably every available bolt-on, a tune, and favorable weather conditions.

If you look at it in terms of RWHP, it looks pretty achievable. Let's say 350bhp with a worst case scenario of 20% drive train loss from an automatic.

350-70=280rwhp

Looks doable on paper. I don't know that anyone has actually gotten in that range, though. If you have to resort to ported heads and intake manifold; then, ya, you're looking at some bucks.

Wow, thanks guys. Didn't realize it would take all that. I knew a turbo could get well above that, but I guess I should have realized.

I guess the 1SS would be an option, but with premium gas + lower fuel efficiency = higher cost and probably higher insurance rates of an SS. The 2LT(in my price range) has all the bells and whistles and leather. I was just hoping it wouldn't take a turbo to get in the range of 350 HP.
