What Do You Guys Think? Different look for different models?

From what I've gathered over the last couple of weeks of photos and threads the Camaro will be different looking for each model. It seems the V6's are shown either with no scoop at all like the new 'Vert Picture or with a fake scoop. And V8's also are shown with fake scoops, but in the first photos revealed and now the latest black coupes have open vented scoops, like the projected White Z28 or SS. So what I'm thinking is Chevy will do either no scoop or a fake scoop on the V6's, a real scoop, or also a fake scoop on the V8's, and definetely a real scoop on the projected Z28 or SS (depending on which namepalte they use for the big boy) because it has been speculated that a standard V8 will be available with a Z28 or SS package and the big boy will clame the nameplate they don't use on the standard V8. So I think at the release RS, Z28, and (or) SS will be a package available as an option for the V6's and V8s.

It would make sense to go RS package for the V6's and use either Z28 or SS package for the V8's and use the reamining nameplate for the S/C Bad Boy! If I were Chevy I would go with fake scoops for the V6 or even none to make it less sporty if they please, but definetely use real scoops for the V8, and use a larger scoop for ther S/C Car. That's just my opinion. But what do you guys think?

I also love the accessories that are being put on the table for the cars. I think it was on a V6 in the picture because of the no scoop. But, Chevy keep it coming because things are becoming more interesting and more confusing and mysterious with all these pictures and info comnig out so crazily. I just hope by the summer production info will be a little clearer! Your input is valued so please respond!

Remember, that the "new vert picture" is actually an old design picture as said by fbodfather.

As for the v6, who knows. I personally believe they will have open vents for the v8's. I don't really see much point to having a closed vent, especially for the v8 and supercharged. The only thing that anyone knows for sure is that these pics are still of pre-production models, and GM can do whatever they want. And they still have time to do so.

As for the accessories we saw, I like some of it too, but I think the spoilers were a bit much, and a few of the pictures made it kind of resemble a GT-R, and I don't want my Camaro looking Japanese in any way, shape, or form. I do like the idea of a lip though. And I will wait to make my decisions until I see all the body kits in their final, painted stage.

Speaking from as a person who will probably end up getting the base car v6 whatever, I would like to at least see the option of being able to put stylings on the car and not have them limited to the model of the car you get. That could be the one reason I would not buy this car, the fact that I could not get it styled the way I want without having to spend way over my budget.

They have similar options for the new vettes, so more suspension and exhaust systems could be considered also. But these are just my thoughts.

There are a few threads on this already.

GM made a mistake on the CF4 (93-02) Camaro making the V6 and Z28 look too much alike on the exterior. Hopefully there will be some obvious syling cues other that emblems and dual exhaust

Camero already said the hood scoop has to remain closed because the hood latch is behind it. It is purely cosmetic.

Also, I'm hoping the RS is an appearance package that can be ordered on both the V6 and the V8 as it was on the 1st gen, rather than just name of the V6 trim.

just guessing, but i would imagine the RS will be an appearance package with the posibility of it also being a suspension upgrade package for the v-6.

as for the nose scoop, i like it, but i dont. having a working scoop on a cowl hood kinda defeats the purpose of having either. however if they do make it an open scoop, i dont know how it will be truly functional as of yet due to the fact that we dont know what motors are going in the car and how the intake will be set up. there is a long standing debate of cold air vs ram air. even if the scoop is non functional it will still look great. it'll just be like the stock hoods on the early 4th gens with the twin nostrils.

not to mention, all we have to do is wait about a year after it comes out, and im sure we'll have our choice of aftermarket parts to swap out with.
