2010 V6 Rear Caliper Bracket Bolts
Ok, I did a search, nothing popped. I am contemplating replacing my rear brake pads/rotors, but you have to remove the caliper brackets to get the rotors off. I can find the replacement guide pins and bolts all day long, no issue there.
But when I search auto parts places for rear caliper bracket bolts, the ONLY things that pop up are "front caliper bracket bolts." Do you need to know a secret handshake, or are the front and rear bracket bolts the same? (NO, I will NOT re-use the same bolts, because they are one-time use Torque-to-Yield bolts.) |

Thanks, unfortunately, those are the guide-pins/bolts I can find all day long. I am talking about these

I can grok that. According to the Helm service manual, both the guide pin bolts and the bracket bolts are one-time use only--discard and replace.

The one time use maybe for the tread lock compound or to make the lawyers happy.

Ohhh, that's why--Awesome find, thanks! Now I know why my search didn't pull up anything, I restricted it to just this sub-forum. Guess I'll know better next time. Gotta go call the dealer.
Wow, 4 different rear calipers for one year model, who thought that made sense? |
