because they don't put a giant piece of plastic over the entire engine bay?

have you ever looked at a european engine bay without the plastic? it makes the ZL1's bay look like heaven.

and most people driving european cars don't even know what wheels are being driven, let alone know/care what an engine looks like.

Sometimes function over form.Can you honestly tell me the new M5 engine bay is a work of art. But it is one badazz TT 4.4L engine.How would you like to work on this? LOL

The engine compartment is much cleaner now than it was last year in pre-production when it had hoses going all over the place. The Camaro has the same engine as the CTS-V Caddy.The difference is the Caddy has a huge cover that completely hides the engine. The cover in the Camaro is much smaller.

since they do sell captured test fleet cars, the blue one might appear for sale at a dealer somewhere down the road and some lucky dirt bag will buy the only blue ever made and then not take care of it and beat it up and drive it in salt. smh.... But then again knowing gm they will probobly crush that blue one because there isn't supposed to be any blue.

I wanted an IBM ZL1 badly, so I'm hoping to find that oportunity to be that dirtbag!!

I doubt they destroy it in today's economic world.

I'm thinking there is at least a couple IBMs. Several months ago I saw an IBM with the black SSX style wheels motoring down I75. Looked incredible.

Really worth the price you have to pay?? Might as well say $60,000. I hope the engine cover comes in other colors...Not that impressed just yet...probably if and when I get behind the wheel...
