Front censor?
Hey all I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is censor you can buy for the front of your car, kinda like the backup censors that let you know when you get to close to something. I'm wondering because my car has been scrapped by parking space barriers twice that I know of (The previous owner probably a few more, bottom of the bumper has been warped since I got it.). Now I plan on buying a new bumper and don't want this one getting messed up.

I have not seen any front sensors but that would be nice. Allot of car do have them now to avoid running into something if not paying attention

If you install the sensors correctly, it should work as advertised.
IMO though nothing can replace the knowledge of the length of your car. If you have a banged up front fascia already, just get to know the size of your vehicle with it then replace it once you're comfortable.

Yep Curb Alert. Works well. If you look around you can get them around $150.
I have also heard people installing another camera up front. |

I don't like censors and censorship, but a sensor might be helpful. Then again, while I can see the value when backing up, I'm not sure it is necessary when going forward. That said, some people may actually have legitimate issues with depth perception and as long as car makers are automating almost everything else about driving... well, why not.

+1 on the Curb Alert. I was scratching the hell out of the front spoiler and had to do something. I am 75 yo and my depth perception is not as good as it used to be (along with a lot of other things that are not as good as they used to be!) The CA is well worth the money and installation is a breeze. They have a fair set of written instructions and an on-line video that is all you need. They show you how to do it all. I still have the scratched spoiler, touched up, but no new scratches since installing the CA.
