so what youre saying is that 200hp estimate was pulled out of his ass. The engine sounds nice and is quoted to be making 140hp. That much we know, but theres nothing backing the guess saying "a 50% gain in hp can be had by just fixing the fueling issues" if we dont know much about the engine. just be realistsic about it.

It is not quoted to make 140hp. They say its a minimum of 140hp. Realisticly no one knows what the engine is making, but the company. So is he just throwing out a number sure, but so are you by saying its quoted at 140hp. It was never quoted at 140hp.

So after further digging the KMV4 apparently put down 161 hp on the engine dyno.

"the KMV4 with a 90 degree V has full primary balance and 2 counter-rotating balance shafts to cancel most all secondary imbalances. In other words, the street version of this engine will be very smooth. For competition, remove those balance shafts and immediately increase power."

We've made 160hp with the production camshaft. That's almost 100hp/L out of a production pushrod two-valve engine. Pretty impressive in my book. Like any production camshaft there is power left on the table in the interest of fuel economy, comfort/drivability, emissions, and long term durability. We expect a race version to make 200hp (121hp/L).

In this case since it is actually a V configuration, the correct term is V4. Most four cylinder engines are inline 4's but this is very different.

100.6 cubic inch displacment, i agree that its not going to compete with jap sportbikes, needs four overhead cams and then maybe it would be bad ass, im not into mearly criusing it must breath fire and smoke tire. but still cool.

I'm very impressed! It seems like you guys have built one hell of motor.. Would you happen to know if Motus has any plans of selling it as a crate motor? strapped to an automotive transmission perhaps?
