Yeah, I was not a fan of white, but with the black it's actually nice. And yes, it is indeed a brand new 5 year old car. The engine, for instance, is perfectly clean, no dust even, as though it had just rolled out of the factory. This car evidently has seen no rain, ever. The owner kept it in the garage and only took it out a few times. 3,000km in five years... incredible. I feel very fortunate. Could never have afforded it otherwise.
And after just a day I am already getting the hang of it. Moving off smoothly in first is still not quite perfect, but other gear changes are good. I can skid around corners under control (not that I make a habit of this: I can't afford new tires!) and more importantly, I can accelerate quickly without skidding out. I have learned all the new stuff, controls, etc

Enjoy those stock tires now ! You will be lucky if they last 10k even without spinning them. Start saving for Michelin now lol
BTW nice color choice !!!!

Congrats. Good looking in white.
IMO, I believe the first year and last year of the Gen5 will be more of the collectibles in the future. Good luck. Btw, see my link "Still A few remaining", as you may want this booklet I have on the "new ZL1" (about 2 or 3 pages down) SEE THE FEEDBACKS TOO. Jeff

I see your in Brantford. If those are stock tires be careful. They are utterly useless at less than 10C outside and could be considered dangerous. Are you driving this car through the winter?

Which is a shame: it is so new that the engine has zero dust on it, even. This car, even though it's a 2012, is basically brand new. :-) Yes, stock tires. Tell me more? And yes, I have noticed that "traction" is not one of the qualities these tires have... what should I do instead? Both if I DO buy snow tires, and if I DON'T? This car is fantastic. First gear isn't: It's very hard to engage 1st gear smoothly. While that may of course be me, I am not new to manual transmissions: been driving them since 1976. Any advice welcome.
