6/19/10 Napa Valley Cruise (UPDATED!)
UPDATED WITH NEW ROUTE. We're taking a slight detour north into Petaluma to avoid the Nascar race traffic at Infineon/Sears Point Raceway.
So here's the trip itinerary. The updated route is on mapquest so it's easy to just sign in and send it directly to your camaro if you want. The plan is to meet at 10am at the BJ's in San Mateo. There's a starbucks closeby as well as some fast food joints if anyone needs some last minute snacks/breakfast/coffee. At 10:30am sharp we roll out and follow the route, stopping at the following places. Robert Mondavi Winery V. Sattui Winery Possibly a third stop at Berryessa Corners All the while taking a scenic route, through the Napa backroads and back down through the East bay back towards our point of origin. I've tried to set this up so that People will only have to pay one toll. We can bring lunch and eat while passengers are wine tasting/buying or we can eat at the Berryessa Corners as it's a bar/restaurant/shop/etc. The trip itself without stopping will be 4 hours and 22 minutes so this is going to be an all day affair for the most part. If we stop to eat on top of the winery stops, we're looking at getting back to San Mateo around 7pm so right in time for dinner. We can even eat at BJ's or one of the many other restaurants at the point of origin. I wanted to leave dinner open as some people I know would like to get home and if coming from Sacramento, they might want to leave right away to get home for dinner. Mark your calendars. =) |

Hmm.... Camaro might be sold by then. Bike, Civic, or new truck?

Are you going clockwise or counterclockwise?
1 bridge toll clockwise, 2 bridge tolls the other way. I see no problems not making it. Ahhh, just answered my own question by clicking on the itinerary, I knew it was there for a reason. |

You won't be the only v6, and we're out on a cruise, not a race, so you shouldn't feel the need to compete =). We'll all have a good time.

Great job, Mindz. I'll tell my pookie to block the date. He's been up my a$$ since I told him to hold 2 Sats in June.
Gah! - congrats on the car! Can't wait to see it.
