I'd never thought about it before until I was getting the wifes SKY serviced one day. Went into the showroom and they had a sticker on the back of a SKY. Looks horrible

The license plate frames are fine but dealer stickers & badges look like crap at least 99% of the time, which is a horrible thing to do with a good looking car like this.

Was not my intent to make my dealer look bad... unfortunately customers don't always think about these things, and it is rare for a lot of communication between the prep detailers and the sales staff. It is still our responsibility to make sure this doesn't get put on our cars, not like this is something new.

Just make sure we all have our checklists in hand... and our sleeping bags ready.

I absolutely hate dealer emblems. I have always made them take them off as part of the deal. Heck I even take of the dealer lic plate frame. I just don't care for dealers advertising on my car. I have seen some small fairly tasteful stickers that are not too bad but the dealers that put big plastic badges on a stupid.

Overall I am very anti dealer badge. But to each his own.

It's not that big of a deal nothing a 12" piece of dental floss will not take care of or if it's a sticker easily peeled off and use a little adhesive remover. I would prefer they did not put it on (I have asked) some times the message does not make to the boys back in the detailing area. When I purchased my Silverado and Suburban (both ordered) the boys in the back put it on I asked that it not be applied) no biggie as I was inspecting the car I just peeled the decal off and tossed it in the trash

My dealer uses a small vinyl decal, which I'm fine with. Peels off easy and doesn't leave anything behind.

when they put those metal badges on, simply hit them with the heat gun and then use some dental floss that you've rolled together three times to slide behind the badge and cut through the adhesive strip... from there, its just a matter of getting the gooey residue off

Yes it bothers me a bunch.
My dealer tends to do a sticker
That is worse than a badge.
Already said I do not want it on the
car nor do I want the front plate installed

If it had a badge on it and I'm buying the car, it would have to come off or I'm not buying it.
