Trying out my GoPro HD Sport Camera

Got a GoPro HD Sport Camera and just made a video with it to share.

The video is degraded for the internet, but trust me it is vivid strait from the camera. The clarity is great! I mounted the camera on my door to see the front wheel as we drove in the first part. The wide angle lens catches so much. Then you will see a part where I was walking up to Multnomah Falls and just pointing the camera to take the video. On the way back home I mounted the camera in another spot on our car to see how the video would turn out. I couldn't be happier with this camera.

You can play the footage right from the camera to your HD TV and it is as if you are there. Now I need to find some good editing software. I will try and re-make the footage in a higher resolution and post it.

The camera takes a great wide angle shot, but it does a much better video.

Very nice! I had the HD version also, haven't been using it much though.

They still lose quality no matter what. I tried it before just so they can save memory space

Go here and under "Editing Tips and Tutorials" click the link for Streamclip. Use this software to crop down the video so you have sections under 15 minutes for upload to youtube. Just remember to always leave the quality at 100% with "Interlaced Scaling" left unchecked. Then, when you upload to youtube, it will retain all of its clarity. It will take a while to upload, but once it's done, the youtube video posted will be in full 1080p just like the original (they also scale it down to 720p, 480p, and 360p for lower bandwidth visitors, but that's just a selectable part in the bottom right of the video on youtube).
