Nitrous 427/4L80E/9" build

This project is nearing completion and will be at the LSX Shoot-out in Indy next weekend. Here's just a couple pics I have right now. The car was bought new and disassembled over a year ago with many pics taken along the way. Who says a 15" wheel and tire won't fit...... Yes its still IRS

I knew that was coming... I will post pics later of all the custom fabricated parts that it took to make it work. I did a similar set-up last month on my C6 Z06 and I was able to cut 1.35's all day at the Bowling Green Race.

Time constraints will probably have us just running on motor, but it will still be fun.

The tire in the pic is a 325/50/15 on a 10.75 wide wheel... I will be running a 275/60/15 at the shoot-out on the same wheel.

Here is a pic of my Z06 with the same wheel combo. It has a 26" tall tire on the front as compared to a 28" on the Camaro.

So why the 15" wheel? Those tires aren't any bigger than you can run on a 16". Just for more sidewall?

The 15's made amazing results on my Z06 over the other sized drag radials I have tried, plus the selection of tire sizes and compound in a 15" is better.

Interseting. Smaller wheel = rotating faster? I agree 150% about the selction being much better. What you can get in a 16/17 is a joke.
