Thumbs down BEWARE Thecarbonfiberspecialists

I know a couple of you had a decent experience with this vendor but mine has been nothing short of theft IMO.

I ordered a custom set of door panels and dash trim via PM with Tony on Feb 27th. I paid $389 via Paypal on the 27th and emailed a custom graphic to them that was to be applied to the door inserts. I was told BEFORE i ordered they would be ready to ship "in less than 2 weeks" After placing the order Tony PM'd me stating they would begin working on my panels the very next day.

March 15th and i have not received any word of shipment. I PM'd Tony with an inquiry. On March 16th he replied my parts would be shipping on March 22nd more than a week beyond his original ETA. No tracking was ever provided and nothing has arrived on my doorstep since. Tony's PM box is full, no replies are made in their threads including the FREE giveaway thread and their phone number is "out of service"

I have filed a dispute with Paypal as of 1:15PM Today. I am positive Paypal will side with me on this and award me my monies back. I sure hope so otherwise i will be forced to file a criminal complaint.

I would not advise buying from this vendor. To those who had good luck previously. I am glad you did however i'm simply out good money as of right now.

Original PM's on order day. Feb 27th
Your order will be ready to ship within two weeks after payment has been received. (paid same day)

Thank you very much
Tony

I had just the opposite experience with these guys.

I got great service and the quality was top notch.

Remember, it takes time to put together custom work and get it right. I agree that good communication is lacking here, but your time frame is not really that much of a delay.

They were expecting your shipment to go out on the 22nd and you are already filing a Paypal dispute on the morning of the 26th? Give them some time to make your order right.

It sould be something as simple as the paint on your CUSTOM order not coming out right and they neede to fix it.

Your not reading the entire thread. I ordered on Feb 27th.. I was told this would start being worked on the very next day and would ship in less than 2 weeks. If you were not already aware they seem to have checked out. PM box full, phone diconnected, website down and have not replied to even their own free giveaway thread nor my emails and it never did ship on the 22nd. 3 weeks after ordering. How long does it take to simply paint and ship stock door liners and dash trim. Mine are not carbon. Just paint. A month is way too long. By the way Paypal has a time limit to dispute if you didn't know.

I'm glad your experience was great, i even stated that in my OP. But, mine sure isn't and in no way am i being unreasonable.

A month is patient brother. It's just paint on stock liners. No fabrication to be done.

Bottom Line Up Front: My relationship with TheCarbonFiberSpecialist started off fine, they agreed to sponsor VETERAN1 with the understanding only thier parts CF pieces would be installed in VETERAN1

And they initially delivred 4 interior CF pieces and kept telling me they were going to do the door panels, dash kit, etc . And for almost 6 months they said they were going to send the next day.

So for the last month of our contact, I said look, I willing to pay for all the pieces, still no word.... Send them numerous emails, saying I needed the pannels ASAP for SEMA, I would pay for them, still no word............

I should stuck with a reliable company like DSV Customs/Camaro Styles, as that custom FLAG CONSOLE, that work of art DSV Customs made, was made for Veteran1

I made the deal with TCSF prior to the deal with DSV, so I couldn't back-out.......

Yet, TCSF failed to deliver, despite me begging them to let me pay to get the CF pices, cause it would be hard for another company to match the pieces I did receive...

So I ended up using custom graphics inside...

The fact that TCFS would not return any of my emails & PM's or my phone calls, says enough.

Good you got the dispute in under the time frame Paypal sets.

If they come through, dispute canceled. If not your covered.

I received a couple pieces from them with no issues, but that was a while back, things change....

Sux to hear stuff like this. I don't thbink you're being too hasty man. A little communication would probably keep things plenty civil, but if there's none of that even, do what you gotta do...

my last post on the free give away thread.

"That is too bad, for those waiting on parts and for the company too. Things happen. (Their website shows up as under construction). Hope it all works out in the end for everyone involved. I have sent a message to the moderators asking for them to verify the standing of this company and close this thread if necessary."

Update: and the thread is no longer available.
