Lingenfelter 2 step

I just purchased the LNC-003 2 step with the harness and CTAP. I was wondering if anyone has installed this themselves and how hard it is to install? I would assume there are no wires to splice, but am not quite sure. Any help is appreciated. This is for my 2015 1LE.

I installed one back in the winter. You will need to get a fuse tap for power.
The hardest thing to do was to install the harness for the CTAP.
It connects to the clutch pedal harness. You cannot see it, so it is very hard to disconnect.
With help from Merc, I realized that the same sensor is found on the brake pedal and way easier to see, and disconnect the safety clip. Practice on that sensor before you try to do the one on the clutch sensor.
Another tip would be to take out the drivers seat so you can get under the dash without cramping up your whole body. That's a Merc tip too.
Good luck, if you have any questions pm me.

Same sensor for brake and clutch?
Could you theoretically use a ctap on an automatic car connected to the brake sensor?

It looks the same, and has the same connection. I'm not sure if it will have the same voltage or wiring. Good question. You would probably be better off changing your stall converter on an automatic I would assume.

a little off topic and probably a dumb question but is there a way to lower the rpm setting of the stock launch control?

Here are some pics I took of how the connection works.
I made a little tool out of a random nail I had kicking around. Flattened the end of it, and bent it.

Those are 2 great tips on the install. Check last page or 2 of my build thread for starting point settings of CTAP.

Thank you for all of the info and special thanks to Stratman for the wonderful info and pics! You've probably saved me from having to buy a new clutch sensor!

No problem. I quit several times, and kept going back at it. Luckily Merc was around to help. Practicing on the brake pedal sensor was the tip of the year!

Replacing the clutch sensor would be a pita!

I will take some more pics of the final install later.
