Boston Acoustics Stereo Sound - Not Enough

For 9 speakers and 245 watts, my 2011 2LT BA stereo just doesn't leap out at me. I've had it at full volume and could easily of wanted more. My previous 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP Monsoon stereo could blow the paint off the car at full volume, not so with the Camaro. Not sure how many watts the Monsoon was.

What do you fellow Camaro5 owners think about your BA stereo? Too little? Too much? Just right?

I think it's just right, sometimes I can feel the speakers blowing my pants leg on some songs with alot of base, you know you have alot of adjustments available to tweak the sound you want? If it could get any louder I'd be deaf! It's defiantely clear sounding, no complaints here.

I hear they de-tuned it in later 2010 models due to speakers blowing out.

I have to agree with trekmanone, I also think the B.A. stereo is lacking something. I don't think the bass has enough kick... it could definitely use a subwoofer. Although that adds dreaded weight!

People that took their cars into the dealerships with complaints of distortion of sound at high volumes. Dealers then replaced the BA amp with a lower powered amp and changed the front speakers to "weaker" ones.

I am unimpressed with the BA system, however I did have a small 10 inch sub fiberglassed into the trunk, taking up minimal space, this little 10 has the system sounding much better.. I think atleast a small 10, is a most... if the sounds are better, then the driving experience is better...

Get some Altec Lansings...I have the LS stock radio, not even the BA, and the sound is phenomenal..the bass rattles my pants legs! they cost about $500.00 but it's the SPEAKERS, not the radio...I learned that from my days at Hi-Fi Buys here in Atlanta...

Maybe it's because I compare it to the stereo in my 04 Ram, but I love the stereo in the Camaro. Of course 90% of the time I'm listening to country music and that usually doesn't require a lot of bass.
