New Member - Lots of Pics
Hi Everyone,
This is my first post on the forum. I was a member of the Corvette Forum until 4/23/2009. Here is a pic of My Vette and My 2001 Firebird Formula the last time I drove them. The Vette was an 07 with about 2,000 miles. The Formula had only 8,000 miles. 5 days after those pictures were taken they looked like this along with the rest of my world. Victims of the Barefoot Resort North Myrtle Beach wildfires 4/23/2009. 21 other homes in my subdivision and 65-70 in the neighborhood were also lost. After the fire I decided to make some changes in my life. I had 3 cars at the time and it was a little much. Scaling back to 1 seemed the smart thing to do and the new Camaro seemed a better choice than a new Vette as my only car. I ordered a silver 2SS 10 weeks ago and it finally arrived on Saturday. I have the black rally stripes but am having issues trying to find someone willing to install them. Dealer won't have anyone on staff who can do it until August. The new house is coming along too. Should be ready in about 2 weeks. It'll be nice to be home again. Anyway, thanks for reading my story. Had a great time on the Vette forum and made some friendships that I hope last a lifetime. Hope to do the same here. If anyone is ever in the Myrtle Beach area, please look me up. Always fun to hang out with car people.

wow crazy stuff... sorry about the cars but good to know everyone survived. Congrats on the SS... looking good. I'm sure there's got to be a sign shop in your area... those guys will/should be the best at installing vinyl stripes

Sorry to hear about your past, but I'm glad you survied and were able to rebuild, and start over. It was a shame to lose those nice cars, but I guess the Camaro is the way to your future...ENJOY!
