Accelerator issues?

After installing my cai intake I have noticed that when I go to slow down the car seems to keep staying the same speed and then slowly decelerate. It is way more noticeable now that the intake is installed. Wondering if a small vacuum leak would cause this, as it also will tend to fluctuate at idle as well. I noticed this before the intake install, but like I've stated it more apparent after I put the intake on.

The throttle plate assembly is controled electronically through a wireless sensor attached to the gas pedal theres no adjustment for that, however being you are having these issues after the install id look for any vacumn lines as you said that were left off or maybe you hit something upon install of the intake it should be an easy fix....

I was doing it before, but now that I put the intake on its more pronounced.
Maybe I made the leak worse? I have no idea, I will look tonight. Any particular hose I should check?

Couldn't the MAF be to blame for this? Could be getting a skewed reading. Maybe the MAF is dirty, or not connected completely

Waa thinking that myself, but now that I put the cai on now I'm pretty much screwed. But when I had it out it looked clean and I was very careful not to touch it or get it dirty when putting it back in. I'm leaning more towards a small vac leak.

Yeah, thought it was the belt. I'll check more on depth as I was not thinking the hissing might not be the belt. I will let you Guys know! Thanks for the help.

Maybe the TPS is starting to mess up. Electronic throttle bodies are a new thing for me

Camaro588,

Sincere apologies for the issue you are experiencing. I would love to schedule you an appointment at a local GM dealer to have the concern diagnosed. Feel free to private message me your VIN number and zip code.
