Does anyone know what connection controls the audio mute for the OEM head unit or amp?

I have a 2ss with the BA sound system. I'm installing a Passport 9500ci and want to use the "radio mute output" from the passport interface module to kill the stero system audio during an alert. The Onstar unit is already doing this so it seems like it is just a matter of finding the right connection and determining if the two signals/voltages are compatible. Maybe this could be accomplished with the remote amp control line and a relay but, I prefer to keep it clean & simple if there is alrealy a mute connection at the head unit.

I don't need the 9500ci sounds through stereo, just need to auto-mute the stereo to get my attention.

The BA sound systems does not have an external mute trigger, it is in the head unit which controls both the sound system and on-star. The audio amp if you install an aftermarket must be on when the key is on, since the flasher signal and cell pone share the amp and audio speakers.

Go Fast, thanks for the reply. I came to the same conclusion. This can fixed this by junking the Onstar and installing Bluestar. The Bluestar does have an audio mute line.
