How to tell if you have an Allied car
Hello everyone,
My dealer is pretty unknowledgeable about the whole situation with allied, and he doesn't seem to be too worried about where my car is or when it's going to be here - I've been getting the generic "Anywhere from 2-6 weeks after 3800", yet I've seen no movement after 3800, when I see people already getting invoices and all for the next TPW. Is there any way to find out if my car was affected\held hostage by Allied, or if there is anything else holding it up, or should I just wait patiently.. Thanks. Hopefully I should see some movement regardless if it was affected: http://www.automotiveworld.com/news/...held-by-allied

The Allied "Hostage" cars were all in Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Dearborn, MI. However, I have read about cars "piling up" in railyards because the manufacturers are changing transport companies and it's taking a while to catch up.
If you do a Google search on "GM Allied" there are over 100 news articles. I think I have pretty much read every one of them. If you go to the chevroletconnects.com website and go to the forums section, go into the Chevrolet tracking board. Leave a message on there for Larry. He is very knowledgeable and helpful with tracking and getting info. Hope that helps! Good luck!

My Camaros normally get trucked to Dearborn and then trucked here to northern Indiana all in a couple of days. Made for quick and easy turn around. I've had a convertible that now got put on a train and has been in transit for a week now. This new transport company is a joke.
