A 5th gen Camaro BELONGS in a Camaro car show, that is a good thing. Just don't get all butt hurt because your super clean newish car didn't compare to a classic that has spent countless hours bringing the car back to life, not just cleaning it.

If I see 3-4 of the same car everyday on my way to work, It doesn't belong in a car show. Car shows are for something special, not cars you see in the parking lot of Wal-Mart. The reason 5th gen's are being passed up is because they are still just newish cars. Enthusiast will always think we have something super cool and special. That's awesome, but nobody cares.
Did anyone ever tell you Opinions vary?

I would never accept a trophy for my Camaro unless it was judged in a "Modern Muscle" class.
I guess you can add me to your ass wipe list.

NY has nothing to do with it buddy! Before you know it, you'll start calling us "Yankees." The Civil war is over pal.

I agree that I don't want to see the same car at a show that I see in the Walmart parking lot. But in those parking lots, I usually don't see super clean Camaros, or v8 convertibles for that matter. I'm not advocating that people bring down their Ford Escorts with rust holes, but if it's a mint Escort that looks like it came off the showroom floor, that's another matter.

Thanks, 18 years and $40,000+ later to get it to that 100% restored condition.
That's why I get upset over camaro5 guys getting upset over them not being
considered for a trophy at a show. This Olds 88 is only one of several that I
have restored myself over the years. Also, it's 100% stock- lol.

i restored a couple of old musclecars years ago.it would bother me to get a trophy instead of someone who has worked hard either to modify or restore an older car.
