Who is waiting for the CarbonFiberInsert?

I wonder if some dealers now realize that they could get over MSRP + ADP on their allocated ZL1s & are jerking buyers around in the hope that they'll drop their order & go elsewhere.

I may change to the standard insert. Then, I may have Killer Paint custom paint it with True Flames.....I had a few things painted for me and friends.

Well my dealer hasn't contacted me yet on the constrain for the insert which I did include in my order but being in Canada, I wouldn't doubt that our orders will have a later production date than the US ones anyways seeing as how there is 3 feet of snow on the ground....lol. But if it is brought up, yes I will be waiting for the exposed hood.

I would prefer to wait as the exterior color, stripe and polished wheels were based off of the ECF weave. Is waiting really an option?

I want the Carbon Fiber Insert; it is one of the signatures that set this car apart, it’s up there with the ZL1 badge and signature sound.

I actually prefer to wait, but I might not have a choice as I made a spur of the moment decision on Saturday. Trying to see if my dealer can delay the order.

Basically he convinced me to proceed with my order and later get the insert when it is available as a service part. Worst case scenario is that the second allocation gets pulled later and the B92 constraint issue still isn't resolved and/or that the order gets pull very late in June and I have to wait for a late summer delivery. I'll take my chances.

You did delete the B92 from your order? Then hopefully the B92 will come off of constraint before your dealer's 2nd allocation (your car) gets picked up. Right?

Yup, exactly.

In retrospect I should have just kept it on my order but instead made an impulsive decision on Saturday to remove it in order to proceed with my order. It's doubtful that it can be added back now, so I'm hoping that by the time the order gets picked up, the constraint is lifted and B92 can be added again.
