Hmmm. Interesting perspective, but if so, I think it's only caused further deviation from the OP's topic.

Looks like the deals out west are far better than in the Mid-Atlantic.

BTW, seems a big chunk of these rebates aren't something everyone can get.
as all of these offers include $1,000 competitive lease rebates. Which means if there is a non-Ford product registered @ your residence that is a lease you get the rebate, if not you get ****-all.
$1,000 Competitive Lease Conquest 10

I'll be honest, when I jumped into this, I pretty much skipped past the first page or two of posts, and just read the last 5 or 10 post or so. It was kinda derailed already when I first got here, so I didn't even know who the OP or the original subject was until Norm just posted it.

Well maybe the fact they messed up the newest model or "refresh" as they call it, would make some of those in the muscle market stray another direction after seeing what direction chevy has gone, not to mention having to be forced into a position to buy the "older model" because the newer one is not as great design wise doesnt make sense and would steer some away to another brand option that has a "current" offering that doesnt have a step backwards design flaw.

Obviously if a rival design gets better and ours gets worse then why wouldnt it be an option and also a realistic reason why sales level? Several muscle car individuals start out with options open and choose one of the three when they are done testing at the dealer.

So no, I dont buy the numbers should have surged to get the "old style" argument if tails were to blame.
