It is some wisdom from Fbodfather and his extensive experience and knowledge of dealing with this kind of thing in the industry he's in. When presented with change you'll have the following:
50% will love it 50% will hate it 80% of the 50% who hated it will change their mind and like it after; seeing it in person, getting used to it, it grows on them, etc. , and they get over their initial "knee-jerk reaction" and let it sink in some. Last edited by MLL67RSSS; 03-29-2013 at 10:27 AM. |

Human nature naturally resists change. I don't agree with it but maybe someday I will!

Geez people the car has barely been unveiled for 48 hours and I'll bet 99.8 % haven't even seen it in person. I'm withholding judgement and giving it some time to sink in and see it in person before I form my opinions, not going off a knee-jerk reaction like so many here. |

You can blame the immediacy of the current level of communications for that, not individual people and certainly not the car. First impressions happen. Just that it's so much easier now to fire off a first (usually negative) reaction into cyberspace that people don't even take the time to see if that initial impression is really going to hold up.

Lets not forget that the energy put into this thread was fueled more by the love of Camaro than the dislike of a refresh.

You can LOVE it or HATE it.
When the 67 camaro came out, it was hot like the 2010, Then little by little the boys at GM changed it, hope we're not headed down that road again. !!! |

Some of us have been through this exact same controversy (and all the internet whining that followed) not that long ago. It doesn't have to be a deal-breaker even if you never come to fully accept it.
FWIW, like the 2010 Mustang's refreshed rear end it probably doesn't look equally bad from all directions or in all colors/color combinations. Norm |

I like the '14. I especially like the Z28. I just got my first Camaro (first Chevy) a few months ago, so I'm not as hardcore as many of the people here. I've always been a Ford guy, but love the ZL1. Anyway, as I said, I like the '14 model. I don't like it more than the '13, but I also don't like it less than the '13. I like them the same, I guess. I do believe the '13's had a more aggressive look to them. The '14's have a more sleek look. The sleekness is more apparent with the new rear end and more curve to the front of the hood. The '13's seemed be more angular and made more of a bold statement. If I was going to buy a new Camaro, I would still get a ZL1. If I could add a second Camaro to the garage, I would get a Z28 instead of another ZL1.
And as a Ford guy, I'll say that Chevy is kicking Ford's ass in the performance car category. The ZL1 is a better overall package than the Shelby GT500. The 1LE smacks the Boss 302. And now the Z28 kicks the crap out of the Boss 302 and will probably give the Shelby GT500 a run for the money on a track with 162 less horsepower. Obviously, Ford doesn't have anything to compete with the Corvette. Ford better get on top of things. I love watching the car battles, though! I still think Ford trucks are nicer, though. lol
