Hey B2E2RUN,
Not to start a rif, which maybe I've done, but I65 is where I've seen this kind of driving. Yeah, there are Illinois plates in the mix. And, I don't have anything against either state. I was born in Indiana and grew up in Illinois. I've just been shocked at that kind of driving, on more than one occasion. So, just my experience maybe.

Is anyone planning on going to the 1/2 mile thing in September?

Sept 14-15. Right now there are 250 cars registered. If you can't tell I, along several friends, will be going.

Oh and I would not recommend driving your Camaro's up there as parking area was not paved and seemed to be challenging for folks after it started to get filled up.

Wish I could, but I'll be out of town. Maybe next spring?

Oh and I hit 1500 miles today and the road blessed me with a big freakin nail in my drivers side rear tire. It literally happened in a parking lot at 1501 miles.

Hey Tony (Gizz69) do you know how the wheel/tire protection plan works at Hendricks. I got the same one as you did....just didn't think I would have to use it this early so I haven't read up on it lol
I am actually bringing mine in as a curbed a wheel when some jackoff cut me off going around a corner. I just called up the Sales Manager as I had dealt a lot with him on everything. He in turn called the service manager. If you got the package, you should just have to bring the car down and they will repair the tire for free. If it is just a nail they will probably just plug and patch it unless they are not allowed to for the speed rating.

Had to get a totally new tire the 2nd day of my trip to Texas for Power Tour. Got a nail in the sidewall. Just depends on where the nail is. Not thrilled with buying a new tire when I had 4 new ones sitting at home, but oh well, gotta pay to play!

I thought there was a $50 deductible?

My old man borrowed my camaro and took it through an automatic car wash that rolls your car forwards and it scraped the drives side rim alllllll the way around. Didn't miss a spot, lol

If I remember correctly, it's something like a $50-100 deductible for a replacement rim.

Luckily the rim that got carved up by the car wash also has a really bad rock chip. So I won't miss that rim lol

I've got to go get my tire checked out. It has a cut from the fender. It is pretty deep, but holding air. I don't know if it is safe or not, or if they can glue the gash closed or something. I'm sure they would rather sell me a new tire.

The fender is at Neal's shop getting fixed. Splitter #3 is on its way. Before tire, I'm already at $1k. I'm probably going to raise it up this time, and then I'll need another alignment.

I have coil-overs and the other day when we were sitting in the parking lot looking at the car, I told my son that I thought that the car is much lower now than when I set it originally. I checked the coilovers and they are still locked, so I can only imagine that the springs relaxed a little. I originally set it to match the height of my coupe, which I liked. I could still see gap between the fender and the tire. Looking at it the other day, you cannot see the top of the tire at all. I like it low, but not at the expense of all of these damn splitters.
