Recommendations on a Blower cam after ported heads

So....lots of great reading on here and the FI threads. I'm going with the Maggie 2300 and gonna have Scoggin Dickey port the heads in the process.

Now I'm trying to get my head around a few good cam options to maximize those two.

Porting intakes to ~ 279 and exhaust to ~ 99; yields ~ 350cfm intake and 230cfm exhaust at .600 lift.

Right now not intending to increase combustion chamber (unless drop in compression = bottom end longevity with the boost)

Currently 400rwhp to the wheels with CAI, Headers, HF cats and exhaust on an M6 Tranny. Target is a well-mannered 600rwhp (until punched).

For ~7 PSI with the increased head flow, is the more stable tune going to come from more duration, or more lift (more mild cam at .650; or more aggressive at .600)? Thoughts?

Get with Mike at New Era Performance Parts on this.

Do you have an L99 or LS3? If and L99 consider a torque converter with the cam.

I have an L99 and I am having a blower cam installed right now. I went with the Livernois stage 2B blower cam and a Precision Industries Vigilante torque converter. This is not a monster cam because I want my car to have excellent street manners. I am also having Livernois port the heads on my car.

All; thanks for the feedback!
Klatterblast....sounds like our builds will be similar... sending my heads to SD for porting before the cam/blower install. And you cam specs are close to what I was expecting...bit more LSA. I'm a M6, so not sure if that will matter too much on the LSA or not (i've read mixed info)--and yeah...love the pic!
J-N-H and FTI, thx for the links...I'll check them out. I definitely want at little lope at idle...
Darth...I'm really interested in what your idle turns out to be with the stage 2....that was my starting point (not sure if a Stage 3 would be too over the top outside of idle). Are you opening the combustion chamber any with the head work? Dropping the compression a bit can be good with blowers (though your L99 already has a slight head start over my LS3).
Darth and K-Blast, pls share your RWHP when you have it!

Thx again to all... (FTI....proud to serve...a calling, if you will!)

Semper Fi,
Stu
