Squeak from drivers seat or console?

I have this annoying squeak either coming from my driver's seat or console area. I plan on hunting it down this weekend but didn't know if anyone else has had this problem. Thanks.

Bet it's the seatbelt receptor on the driver's side. It was driving me crazy until I found it. After buckling in, the receptor is angeled forward just enough to rub against the leather seat. Just pivot the receptor back a bit and squeak disappears.

mmmmmm... i will need to see if thats it!! i have a squeak that seems to come and go, and seems to come from that area too. i thought it was the springs in the seat itself!

I really think it is the seat, maybe the springs? If so, how do you fix that????

I have a slight squeek if the cabin is hot from sitting in the sun, it lasts for a few minutes, especially when going over slow staggered bumps. I cannot have a creaky car, that's one reason I don't by Ford. It is in my roof liner/A pillar area. they are going to pull the cover and hopefully not dig too deep to find it...I will update when Gomer finishes his diagnosis. :(

i have the squeak to its normally when im on a side street with bumps ive found it was the seatbelt as well i was alwasys looking for it so i happened to hold the seat belt thing and it stoped and if you move it around you can actually reproduce the squeaking now just need to figure out how to stop it

I get a squeak/tick when I hit bumps. I found it to be the gray plastic over the gauges. I just push it to the side and it stops.

I have the same squeak. Sounds more like a spring than anything else. Hope there's an SB coming soon.
