LS3 Style hood

Would it make sense to have the engine hood wrapped in flat black vinyl like the SEMA LS3 concept? Specifically, would it last due to engine heat and summer heat? If it were feasable, would someone like to estimate the costs? Autoguy, any thoughts?

Honestly, I think it would be better to have it painted.

My only complaint about the hood...and it's not really a complaint it's my thoughts only...is the V6 should not of had the raised area.

V6 flat hood, V8 raised hood.

I think a black hood would look awesome on IOM, Rally Yellow or Victory Red. Vinyl wrap could be around $250-400. Going with vinyl makes it much easier to return to stock if you decide to sell your Camaro.

I actually like this idea, and thought about it during testing and such. I wonder if it would still look good...

But, back on topic, if you really want the hood from the LS7 concept, just take it off and paint it flat black
