You sir have my kind of mind!
Id believe you are right. All things considered I believe most people would come out to be the same. But if I may.... Anyone looking for a wrap should consider Champmans Graphics in Denver NC. My wrap in most other shops was 5500-6000 but David has after many years elsewhere just starting his business and trying to get his name out. He said hes not trying to kill anyone on it and would prefer to make a little money over time versus making it on one wrap. To date he has already worked on 5 of my other friends cars and he is extremely meticulous. Long story short if you call him up and let him know ElHefe sent you he will do you a solid. And if you need me to keep tabs on your car while its there Id be glad too Apologies to the group if shameless plugging is not allowed as I intended to break no rules but wanted to share a phenomenal shop

Oooh-kay
I just deleted some posts that I wish I could have left. But since they were replies to a post I couldn't leave up ... they're gone too. Sorry about that. Anyway, here is the thread topic for anyone that needed a reminder: Best paint scheme or wrap for the Z/28 Carry on.

I assume the large majority of us like looking at the different wraps but have no interest in having them done to our cars because they are expensive and unnecessary. I can easily afford it but have far better uses for $3000+.
That being said, the one on your car with black and red trim is very tastefully done. Nice trailer too. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk

From personal experience, stay away from 3M. They changed their glue and it has royally effed up the wrap process. I know, because my guy has well over 100 hours into the car from having to redo it, and he's not inexperienced at all. Granted, it's a satin metallic, but even with that knowledge we've had to reject well over 15 square yards of material for having horrible imperfections in it. Metallic flakes creased across it, splotches, holes, discoloration.. you name it. Bought about 12 square yards in 6 yard increments from the same roll about a week apart and the hue was completely different, even though same roll.
After my wrap is ready to go, I'll be using a different company. They wouldn't even reimburse us for the wasted wrap that their glue mixture messed up. |
