Inspection stations in MD

Help! I just got pulled over by MD State police. I have gotten a ticket for tinted windows and for my tailights being tinted as well. I need to take it to an inspection shop after I corrected the issues otherwise my registration will be suspended.

Does anyone know of a inspection shop that is willing to " let it slide" and clear my car. I dont want to pull my tint just to get it re tinted and to remove my Led smoke tailights and replace them with the factory, only to replace them again. I know of many shops in the Philly area (where I am from, til I moved to Bmore) that was willing to sign it, make quick cash, and be done.

Thanks

Will

I absolutely hate people that tint their tail lights. Are you asking to get rear ended because people can't see your brake lights during the day?? And you come on a public forum asking somebody to break a law for a few bucks because you got caught?? Lol.

I absolutely hate people that wish they were a law enforcement officer but aren't.

O.P. The days of the hook up gas stations are pretty much done. Best you can do is act appropriate and respectful to the patrolling officer and hope they dont give the ticket the next time it happens.

That's funny because I don't wish I was a cop. I do just fine at what I do.

I thought you had to take it to State police inspection shop.

I got one for crack in my windshield and had to take it to State police at MVA in Glen Burnie.

As of Feb 2012, tint violations can be taken to any authorized inspection station for certification.

Do what you please it's your vehicle. But don't ask someone else to do the law wrong. And if you take it off & put the items back on. Don't take it out of state because it's illegal in a lot of states. Some states give points on license,a fine plus court costs. Good luck

if you recv'd a state police inspection ticket, then you have to take it to a state police inspections station, usually located inside a FULL SERVICE MVA, working there I/we haven't heard anything about being able to use a normal inspection station for the state police....

as far as a payoff inspection station, you have to know somebody(dealer, mechanic, etc), most won't do it when they don't know you.

This.

you get a "fix it" ticket, you remove your tint, take it up to johnny law and have a LEO sign off on it.

Then five minutes later you go back and have it retinted.

i think the entire reason they started making you go to a LEO and having him sign off on a "fix" was because of people doing exactly what you are trying to do.
