Anyone here own this Camaro:

A coworker posted this on our pilot message board. Camaro "chasing a U2"
Does any know how to embed LiveLeak Vids on this MB?

Awesome! I used to see this done at a base overseas that I used to frequent. They used Camaros back then too as chase vehicles to assist the pilot with landing.

The Air Force owns it

The pilot cant see the ground during landings, so the chase after it and direct him down

Great use for the capable Camaro! A Honda Civic would have a hard time keeping up, m'thinks!

Great video footage as well, it really brings you there!

Used 75 Camaro = $3500
Rolling restoration over 10 years = $5000
$5 of gas burned in 10 seconds = Priceless!

I heard they used to use 2004-06 GTO's when the Camaro was in production hiatus.

I'm not sure if this is the same base or not that my company sold several of our in car video surveillance systems to the Airforce for the purpose of recording videos like this of the U2's landing!

Cool Video
